While we have enjoyed watching the Winter Olympics and checking out all the extra Twitter action, these games have given us a perfect example of why we will never get on with the 5 ring circus.
Torah Bright winning gold and Scotty Lago being asked to leave because of the use of his bronze medal are why us, as snowboarders, will never get on with the winter games. We cheer and celebrate Torah, a pioneer of technical women's halfpipe riding, who deserves the rewards that she will now receive from the mainstream world as a result of wining a gold medal. While at the same time become frustrated with the system and the powers that control it, when Scotty Lago is sent home for doing what we all would do if we had won a medal, use it to get some action.
