Boost Sno Sho

The Boost Mobile Sno Sho at Perisher Blue has been and gone for another year. This event is a little unique in the world of snowboard events, with two very different parts making up the show. First the riders have 3 attempts to break the world record for the longest rail slide. Which this year was won by Canadian destroyer Charles Reid with a distance of 54.8 meters which set a new world record and put $5000 in his pocket.

After all that excitement the event moves onto part two which involves spinning a wheel, landing the trick and spelling a word. It is a little complicated but didn't matter to Chas Guldemond as he walked home $15,000 richer once he worked out the rules.

Pictures of the actual event night can be found over at POPmag.com.au while here at SITW we have some behind the scene action from practice when everyone was working out how to deal with a 25 foot acid drop take off. Told you it was unique and a little complicated.....

Mikkel Bang warming up.

Chris Sorman and Danny Davis strapping in. There was some heavy hitters in town for this event as it was the weekend between Stylewars and The Australian Open.

Most of the FRENDS crew are in town here is Luke and Jack Mitrani with fellow FREND Danny Davis.

One of the highlights of practice was Andy Monsberg one footed drop to huge one footer over the kicker.
