Name: My name is Jan Matthew Snarski, I am 23 years old and reside in Whistler, BC
I am a cinematographer........ some call me a "filmer" but I prefer "camera operator". Recently I have been working with Runway Films in the production of their new film "See What I See". My field is almost 100 percent snowboarding but that it was I love to shoot so that really worked out. As I am writing this we have just completed the first edit of the complete film and it looks amazing. It is another kind of satisfaction you feel when you see all of your hard work from the year together in one spot and people who are watching it are being blown away.
My top 3 places to shred?
1. Little Buller Spur.
2. Burnt Hut.
3. Burke St (only when it's really crowded and you know your heading to the Kooroora in a few hours)
My top 3 tips?
1. Don't talk about it, be about it.
2. Travel.
3. Take chances.
My top 3 goals?
1. Make my own feature film.
2. Make a music video for the mighty "Lucifers Gift".
3. Change Snowboarding.
My top 3 things I need to get off my chest?
1. This one refers back to Rick Baker's one about schoolies..... I went to schoolies....
2. Snowboarding is turning into an individuals sport like tennis and there is no camaraderie and everyone is in it for themselves........everyone stop it there is no "I" in team.
3. Once a long time ago, a girl presumed I was Chris Boadle and came up to me and said "Hi Chris" and my response was " Hi". Sadly Chris did not get the girl that night. So glad that is off my chest and my apologies again Boad's.

My top 3 hardest projects?
1. Working with Rick Baker. He is hard but a good man, I learnt a lot from that guy.
2. "See What I See" (Runway Films). Chicks are hard work but you knew that.
3. Moving to another country and making it happen (this trick I learnt from Baker).
My top 3 items to travel with?
1. Anything that takes a picture (lately I just got a Hasselblad ripoff from Russia it is sweet), I usually have a video camera with me on every trip but lately film photography has caught my attention. I think I might get into it.
2. Music.
3. A purpose. But not always because sometimes it's good to go somewhere just to go there.
My top 3 people to travel with?
1. Rick Baker, he always makes you feel on time.
2. Chris Boadle, amazing shit talk session on Baker when your both waiting for him.
3. Jeremy McArthur, he was with me on the first major trip I ever went on which started everything for me... Thanks Jez
